Leaving 2016 with a full heart, what a wonderful year it has been. I have learned so much. To be mindful of the present, fully enjoy the here and now, to love and live exactly where my feet are planted, and above all, love God, and love others.
I started this year by putting social media on hold, to prepare my heart for all the things God is going to do over the next year. I am so excited for what He has in store, and I cannot wait to share life with each of you over the next year.
I am not a fan of setting New Year's resolutions. A few years ago I noticed friends choosing a word for that year, or something to focus on. I loved that idea, and have been doing it since. My word of the year in 2017 is "be."
Recently I have learned how important this word is to me, and how much value it already holds. It is tempting to look at the future, constantly planning, with the desire for more and more. Be still. Be satisfied. Be a good steward of your finances. Be patient. We can each "be" whatever we choose. This year my intention is to daily choose to be a child of the King; to be present, and sit at the feet of Jesus.
Two thousand seventeen, lets do this!
